Full-Time Opportunity | Outdoor Nursery Setting
Are you an experienced Forest School Leader with a passion for outdoor learning, child-led exploration, and inspiring children through nature?
We're seeking a dedicated Forest School Leader to join a thriving outdoor nursery setting, where the natural environment is at the heart of children's learning and development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating meaningful outdoor experiences and helping children develop confidence, resilience, independence, and a lifelong love of nature.
This unique setting believes that some of the most valuable learning happens outdoors. From woodland adventures and nature-based crafts to risk-taking and problem-solving activities, you'll play a key role in delivering engaging experiences that encourage children to learn through exploration and discovery.
The Role
- Plan and deliver creative Forest School sessions and outdoor learning experiences
- Set up and lead weekly activities that inspire curiosity, confidence, and independence
- Work with small groups of children, supporting their learning and development through nature-based experiences
- Encourage children to explore, investigate, and take appropriate risks in a safe environment
- Promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development through outdoor play
- Collaborate with the wider nursery team to embed outdoor learning into the curriculum
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with safeguarding and risk assessment procedures
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Forest School Qualification (Essential)
- Level 3 Early Years Qualification (Essential)
- Experience delivering Forest School sessions and outdoor learning activities
- A genuine passion for nature-based education and child-led learning
- Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A creative, enthusiastic, and hands-on approach
