Are you an experienced Nursery Manager looking for the opportunity to lead a brand-new nursery from the very beginning?
We're recruiting for a Nursery Manager to take the lead in the opening of an exciting new nursery setting in LS7. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the culture, team, and vision of a nursery from day one while being fully supported by an established and successful nursery group.
This unique nursery is part of a well-respected independent group that already operates successful settings across Leeds and Wakefield. Known for its inclusive culture, strong community values, and commitment to high-quality childcare, the nursery creates environments where children, families, and staff feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
With a strong Forest School ethos, outdoor learning and a connection with nature are at the heart of the nursery's approach. Children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop confidence through meaningful outdoor experiences, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
As Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in launching and developing the new setting. You'll work closely with the Area Manager, other Nursery Managers within the group, and the owner, who will be heavily involved in supporting the opening and ongoing success of the nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about Early Years and excited by the prospect of creating something special.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful opening and day-to-day management of the new LS7 nursery
- Recruit, support, and develop a high-performing nursery team
- Create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming culture for children, families, and staff
- Ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance
- Work collaboratively with the Area Manager and wider leadership team
- Build strong relationships with families and the local community
- Drive occupancy, quality, and overall nursery performance
- Ensure the nursery reflects the group's values and vision
What We're Looking For
- Previous Nursery Management experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
- A confident and inspiring leadership style
- Excellent communication, organisation, and people management skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education
- Someone who values inclusion, diversity, and building strong relationships
- An interest in outdoor learning and child-led experiences
