Are you looking to gain valuable experience in secondary schools? Veritas Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day and short-term supply basis across secondary schools in the Rossendale area.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced cover supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people who are confident managing a classroom environment.
The Role
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged with learning.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Supporting pupils to complete tasks and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Working across a variety of secondary schools and subject areas.
Requirements
- Experience working with young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confident, adaptable and professional approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
