Supporting Children with Autism, ADHD and Additional Needs

Full-Time | Term Time Only | Immediate & September Starts Available

Veritas Education is currently recruiting dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to work within specialist provisions and mainstream schools across Bradford. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs, and other complex learning and behavioural needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential. Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Implementing personalised learning and behaviour support plans
  • Supporting emotional regulation, sensory needs, and communication development
  • Encouraging independence, social interaction, and positive relationships
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment
  • What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in schools, care settings, youth work, or similar environments
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, and positive behaviour management strategies
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Relevant qualifications or SEN training are desirable but not essential
