Hampton - Secondary school Start Date: September 2026
On behalf of our client, a vibrant and well-established secondary school in Hampton, Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the school's SEN department from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a large, supportive team with strong departmental leadership, weekly CPD opportunities, and a genuine commitment to staff development. The successful candidate will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs, supporting them both in the classroom and in small-group interventions across a range of subjects.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with SEND to access learning and reach their full potential.
- Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in the classroom.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver effective learning support across a variety of subjects.
- Assist with small-group and one-to-one interventions.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Support behaviour management strategies and promote positive student outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is patient, proactive, and committed to student progress.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Has experience working with young people or SEND students (desirable but not essential).
