???? About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Preston from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping them to achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with class teachers to provide support across the classroom, as well as delivering targeted support to pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis.
???? Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with their learning across the primary curriculum
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with children who require additional support
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress where required
✅ Requirements
- Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
⭐ Desirable
- Experience supporting SEN/SEND pupils
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification)
- Knowledge of phonics or early years learning strategies
