SEN Classroom Assistant
Pay: £90 - £120 per day Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 - 16:00 Contract: Full-time / Term Time Only Location: North East London
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to support pupils with a range of special educational needs across primary and secondary schools in North East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in young people's lives and gaining valuable experience for careers in education, psychology, or youth services.
SEN Classroom Assistant Role:
- Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN needs (including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties) in a classroom setting
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to encourage engagement and positive behaviour
- Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and social development
- Assisting teachers in creating a structured, calm, and inclusive learning environment
- Building strong, positive relationships to help develop confidence, independence, and life skills
SEN Classroom Assistant Requirements:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Experience or training in behaviour management or SEN support (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
- Ideal for aspiring Youth Workers, Behaviour Mentors, Teachers, or Educational Psychologists
