Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Colne, Lancashire.
This is a full-time permanent position starting in September 2026. The school is a well-regarded, inclusive primary setting with a strong community ethos and a positive, supportive learning environment.
The school has a strong reputation locally for its nurturing approach and its focus on early learning, with a particular emphasis on phonics, reading and securing strong foundations in Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will:
- Have experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Year 2 lessons
- Have a strong understanding of phonics and early reading strategies
- Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Work effectively as part of a supportive team
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
