Location: North Leeds Start Date: ASAP or September 2026 Contract: Full-time (term-time only), with potential for permanent opportunities Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in North Leeds is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic KS2 Academic Tutor to support pupils in Years 3-6.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or individuals considering a career in teaching or education, offering hands-on classroom experience and the chance to make a real difference to pupil progress.
You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted academic support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in English and Maths
- Support pupils in developing core skills across Key Stage 2
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Identify gaps in learning and adapt support strategies accordingly
- Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Who We're Looking For
- Graduates (any subject) or individuals passionate about education
- Strong academic background, particularly in English and/or Maths
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive, and resilient attitude
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
