Teaching Assistant

Location: Wandsworth Position: Teaching Assistant Start Date: September Pay: £1900 - £2300 per month

This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils within a mainstream classroom setting, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting children within classroom and outdoor learning environments
  • Assisting with child-initiated and structured learning activities as a Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs as a Teaching Assistant
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents as a Teaching Assistant
  • Requirements for a Teaching Assistant:

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • A genuine interest in working with children, particularly those with SEN
  • Previous childcare or educational experience, either formally or informally
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Desirable for a Teaching Assistant:

  • An honours degree (preferably a 2:1 or above) or equivalent
