Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant - Rossendale
A friendly and forward‑thinking mainstream primary school in Haslingden is preparing to open a small, dedicated SEN hub and is now looking to welcome a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to be part of this exciting next chapter.
This role would suit someone with strong SEN experience, particularly those who have previously worked in a specialist SEN school and are confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. Experience working with children in EYFS is also important, as the unit will support early learning, development and emotional regulation.
The school is keen to find someone who can bring both expertise and care into a developing provision, helping to shape a nurturing and structured environment from the start.
The ideal candidate will have:- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs
- Previous experience in a specialist SEN setting (priority for this role)
- Experience supporting children in EYFS
- A calm, patient and flexible approach
- Confidence working as part of a wider school team
- A genuine passion for inclusion and making a difference
