Are you a recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in a primary school? Do you have a passion for helping young learners grow in confidence and achieve their academic potential?
We are seeking Graduate Academic Tutors to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in warm, inclusive primary schools throughout Wakefield and Kirklees. This temp-to-perm role is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or pastoral support.
The Role
As a Graduate Academic Tutor, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support in literacy and numeracy
- Work closely with class teachers and SEN teams to track and encourage pupil progress
- Support children who may need additional help with confidence, focus, or engagement
- Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
About You
- Degree in any subject (2:2 or above preferred)
- Genuine interest in primary education and child development
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
- Patient, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting learning
- Interested in teacher training or a long-term career in education
