Veritas Education is delighted to partner with an exceptional Montessori nursery in Leeds, offering an exciting opportunity for Early Years Practitioners to join a nurturing, high-quality environment that truly values its staff and families.

This unique Montessori nursery is renowned for its holistic approach to early years education, combining a child-led learning philosophy with a focus on wellbeing, creativity, and exploration. Children benefit from organic, nutritious meals and a variety of additional activities, including football and rugby, designed to support both physical development and teamwork skills. The nursery's thoughtfully designed spaces, indoor and outdoor, inspire curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

We welcome applications from qualified practitioners (Level 2 or Level 3) as well as unqualified candidates with relevant childcare experience and a passion for Montessori education. Flexible working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, or bespoke schedules, are available.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's development and wellbeing while contributing to a warm, engaging, and inspiring Montessori environment. You will help children feel secure, confident, and excited to explore, learn, and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support child-led, play-based learning experiences both indoors and outdoors
  • Promote children's emotional, social, and physical development
  • Contribute to observations, learning journeys, and progress reports
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and families
  • Collaborate with parents to meet each child's individual needs
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain the highest standards of care
  • What We're Looking For

  • Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or relevant childcare experience (unqualified candidates considered)
  • A warm, caring, and patient approach
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and wellbeing
  • Basic understanding of EYFS and safeguarding, or willingness to learn
