Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ICT Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Pontefract. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner who can deliver engaging ICT and Computing lessons and support students in developing essential digital skills.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons that equip students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed in an increasingly digital world. You will work closely with an experienced department and contribute to curriculum development and wider school initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering well-planned and engaging ICT/Computing lessons
- Teaching across KS3 and KS4, including supporting learners ahead of assessments
- Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on student progress
- Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Contributing to departmental planning and digital initiatives
- Upholding safeguarding responsibilities in line with DfE guidance
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in ICT and/or Computing
- Ability to inspire and challenge learners of varying abilities
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A proactive, professional approach aligned with school and DfE expectations
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
