About Us
We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school and nursery located in the heart of Preston (PR1). Our Early Years provision is at the centre of our school community, offering a nurturing, stimulating and child‑centred environment where every child is supported to thrive. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join our enthusiastic team.
The Role
As an EYFS Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality early years education and care. Working closely with the EYFS team, you will help create a safe, engaging and supportive setting where children can explore, learn and develop. You will build positive relationships with children, staff and families, and contribute to maintaining high standards across our provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Creating a warm, caring and inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued
- Observing, assessing and recording children's progress to support their ongoing development
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high‑quality learning environment
- Promoting positive behaviour, independence and confidence in all children
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and school policies are followed at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Qualified at Level 2 or 3 in Early Years / Childcare, or working towards it
- Passionate about early education and child development
- Warm, enthusiastic and committed to providing exceptional care
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and busy team
- Confident in following the EYFS curriculum
- Reliable, flexible and keen to learn
