Veritas Education is seeking committed and compassionate SEN Qualified Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools throughout East Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need tailored support to reach their full potential.
⭐ About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with a range of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, learning difficulties).
- Support students academically, emotionally, and socially within the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans.
- Use creative strategies to help students engage and achieve.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
⭐ We're Looking For
You must have:
- A recognised SEN qualification or relevant specialist training.
- Experience supporting SEN students (ideally within a secondary setting).
- Strong communication, resilience, and relationship‑building skills.
- A patient, understanding, and nurturing approach.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
