We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistants to support a vibrant and highly inclusive specialist setting in Middlesbrough. The school is committed to promoting independence, dignity, and positive communication for all pupils, creating a nurturing environment where every young person can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
About the Role As a Specialist TA, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs, helping them access learning in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. You'll collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team and contribute to personalised learning plans that celebrate every student's abilities and achievements.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting pupils with SLD, MLD or PMLD (advantageous but not essential)
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow structured support plans
- Someone who is adaptable and confident in a specialist or sensory-led learning environment
- A valid Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
