Location: Preston Contract: Part-time Start Date: Feburary 26th
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a warm and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
- Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources
- Provide pastoral care and help promote positive behaviour
- Support children with additional needs, where required
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Assist during break and lunchtimes as needed
About You
We would love to hear from you if you are:
- Patient, kind, and proactive
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Organised and able to use your initiative
- A strong communicator with good literacy and numeracy skills
- Passionate about helping children thrive and succeed
Experience working with children-whether in a school, nursery, youth work, or volunteering-is highly desirable, but not essential. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.
