- Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join our successful secondary school in Havering from September. This is a full-time, permanent role employed directly by the school. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have proven experience teaching Sociology across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well‑structured Sociology lessons across KS3-KS5
- Assess and track student progress to support achievement at all levels
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment with high expectations
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Engage in CPD opportunities and participate in wider school life
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
- Experience teaching Sociology from KS3-KS5
- Strong understanding of curriculum and exam board requirements
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal growth
