Science Teacher
Veritas Education are working with an established secondary school in the Leeds area looking for a long-term science teacher to start after the February half term. This is a fantastic opportunity for any newly qualified teachers looking for their first long term role, or an experience teacher fancying a change!
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics) at KS3 and KS4 level.
- Follow school schemes of work and maintain a positive and committed learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and appropriately, by following school behaviour policies.
- Work in unison with support staff, subject teachers and SLT in creating a structured, safe and inclusive learning environment for students to develop academically.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across the three core sciences - Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and actively encourage students to develop a genuine interest in science!
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum, with timely and accurate marking, feedback and assessment to promote student growth.
