Are you an experienced and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? A fantastic specialist school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated TA to join their team immediately.
This school supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a nurturing environment where every student can thrive. They are looking for someone calm, resilient and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to make a difference.
Role Responsibilities
- Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
- Delivering tailored interventions and 1:1 support
- Assisting the teacher with planning, behaviour strategies and progress tracking
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students
- Helping to create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in an SEMH school or provision is highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills and a supportive approach
- Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and solution-focused
- A team player who works well with teachers, therapists, and other staff
- Must hold a valid Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
