SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Newham, East London Agency: Veritas Education School Type: 2 Form Entry Primary School Role Type: Full-time, long-term
Veritas Education is working with a supportive 2 form entry primary school in Newham to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role requires a confident SEN TA with proven experience supporting pupils with additional needs within a busy primary school environment. The successful candidate will work across the school, supporting pupils both in class and through targeted interventions.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with special educational needs across the classroom
Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support where required
Assisting the class teacher with differentiation and pupil engagement
Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD and other additional needs
Helping to create a calm, inclusive and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous SEN TA experience is essential
Confident supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
Strong behaviour management and positive support strategies
Patient, proactive and reliable
Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within a 2 form entry school
