KS3 SEMH Teacher Location: Hillingdon Salary: £180-£240+ per day (dependent on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Full-time
We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate Key Stage 3 Teacher to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum across multiple subjects. The successful candidate will plan and teach lessons aligned with the National Curriculum in: English, Mathematics, Science, PSHE and Physical Education (PE).
You will create a stimulating learning environment where students feel supported and challenged, using creative teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and encourage positive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective, differentiated lessons across the subjects listed above, following the National Curriculum
- Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform future planning
- Create an inclusive, trauma-informed classroom environment that supports behaviour for learning
- Collaborate with subject leads, support staff, and the pastoral team to ensure holistic student support
- Maintain accurate records of assessment, attendance, and progress in line with school policies
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all times
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 students
- Strong subject knowledge across English, Maths, Science, PSHE, and Humanities
- Experience delivering the National Curriculum and adapting it to meet diverse needs
- Experience teaching in an alternative provision, PRU, or specialist education setting
- Excellent classroom management, behaviour support, and differentiation skills
- Understanding of trauma-informed and inclusive education practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and inclusion

Additional Information
