1:1 Teaching Assistant - Reception
Location: Romford Posted by: Veritas Education Start Date: ASAP or after half-term Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Salary: £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
Veritas Education is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Romford that is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and committed to making a positive impact on a child's development.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child in Reception with additional learning or social/emotional needs
- Assist with daily classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
- Support the child's engagement, communication, and emotional wellbeing
- Help implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working with EYFS children, ideally in a 1:1 or SEND support role
- Be patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a good understanding of early years development
- Hold a current DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one
