Graduate Teaching Assistant - English/Humanities - Brent - Immediate Start
Are you a recent English or Humanities graduate looking to gain classroom experience? Do you have a passion for education and supporting young people in a secondary school setting?
An inclusive secondary school in Brent is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting students across English and Humanities subjects. This full-time, term-time role is ideal for aspiring teachers who want to build experience before applying for teacher training or further study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in English, History, Geography, and other Humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver small group and one-to-one interventions to boost literacy and subject understanding
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and behaviour management
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students
Person Specification:
- Degree in English, History, Geography, or a related Humanities subject
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in education and working with young people
- Proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
