Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Veritas Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Romford that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis.
This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for someone with experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure the pupil receives tailored, consistent support throughout the school day.
The role:
- Supporting a child in class 1:1 with their learning and emotional regulation
- Implementing EHCP targets and using strategies advised by external professionals
- Supporting social interaction, communication, and sensory needs
- Assisting with classroom routines and behaviour management
- Liaising regularly with staff and parents to ensure consistent progress
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with SEND (school-based or relevant care background)
- A calm, patient, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
