A welcoming and supportive primary school in Lancaster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to join their team immediately to provide long-term sickness cover.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident in delivering a high standard of teaching and learning to Key Stage 2 pupils. The role is full-time and is expected to continue throughout the current term, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Support pupils of varying abilities, including SEN and EAL learners
- Maintain positive behaviour management and foster a supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and SLT to ensure pupil progress
- Complete ongoing assessments and reports as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching in KS2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, proactive and committed approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
