Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham, South East London, to recruit a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join their Early Years team, working with children aged 2-4 years.
This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is known for its nurturing ethos and commitment to providing a supportive environment where every child is valued and encouraged to thrive. You will be teaching in a well-resourced Early Years setting, delivering engaging and purposeful learning to groups of 20-30 children in collaboration with a supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality Early Years education in a setting that promotes curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
The Ideal Early Years Teacher Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
Strong knowledge and experience of the EYFS framework
A creative and engaging teaching style that meets the needs of all learners
Excellent phonics teaching skills
A nurturing, flexible, and reflective attitude
Strong classroom management and a passion for Early Years education
Main Early Years Teacher Responsibilities Include:
Teaching all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
Planning, preparing, and evaluating lessons that promote active learning
Creating a safe, happy, and inclusive classroom where children feel confident and supported
Encouraging communication, exploration, and early independence
Working collaboratively with Early Years staff to ensure progress and development
Providing pastoral care and building strong relationships with children and families
Running after-school clubs and contributing to the wider school community
