Veritas Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich, South East London, who are seeking to appoint a qualified Teaching Assistant to join their committed team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to become an integral part of a nurturing and forward-thinking school environment.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting
Some experience supporting pupils with SEN such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs
A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Teaching Assistant Responsibilities Include:
Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to provide targeted support
Assisting children with SEN to access the curriculum effectively
Helping the class teacher manage behaviour, transitions, and routines
Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
