Veritas Education are currently supporting a forward-thinking and inclusive school that forms part of a successful academy trust. This school are a specialist provision catering for young people aged 11-19 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), primarily for Autism Spectrum Conditions and complex learning needs.
On behalf of the school, we are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and creative SEND Teacher to join its dedicated team. The Role:
As a SEND Teacher you will:
- Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD and complex learning needs.
- Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and families.
- Promote independence, emotional regulation, and social communication skills alongside academic development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Specialised training in SEN desirable
- Experience of working with students with autism and/or complex SEND.
- A deep understanding of inclusive education and a commitment to personalised learning.
- Patience, empathy, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt teaching methods
- Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive approach to overcoming barriers to learning.
