Are you a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's life?
A supportive and inclusive primary school in the Harrogate/Knaresborough area is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a pupil requiring additional support, starting from September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time role with the potential to become permanent.
???? The Role:Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, helping them engage with learning and school life
Adapt activities to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
Create a positive, consistent and safe learning environment
Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or communication needs preferred)
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
Ability to build strong relationships and encourage positive behaviour
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
A welcoming and collaborative school environment
Support from experienced SEN and pastoral teams
On-the-job training and ongoing professional development
