Veritas Education is seeking a skilled and motivated High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time position in a Leeds secondary school, starting in June 2025.
This role is ideal for an experienced HLTA or a confident teaching assistant ready to take the next step in a high school environment. You'll work closely with teaching staff to support students across a range of subjects, helping to raise achievement and maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Deliver targeted interventions in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science.
Supervise and lead lessons during teacher absence.
Support pupils with additional needs, both academically and socially.
Contribute to lesson planning and student assessment.
Requirements:
HLTA status or relevant school-based experience at secondary level.
Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum.
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
Confident, adaptable, and committed to student progress.
