Job Description
As a Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner, you will be supporting the day-to-day activities and educational development of young children in a safe, nurturing environment. You will work alongside other practitioners to provide a fun, engaging, and stimulating learning experience for children aged 0-5 years.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting children's learning and development through planned activities and play
Providing a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and explore
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Observing and recording children's progress and ensuring individual needs are met
Supporting the implementation of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum
Ensuring the well-being and safeguarding of all children in your care
Contributing to a supportive, collaborative team environment
Assisting with general nursery duties such as setting up activities, tidying, and ensuring the room is clean and safe
Requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
Experience in a nursery or early years setting
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them grow and develop
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
First Aid qualification (desirable but not required)
