The Role:
As an Art Teacher, you'll be at the heart of our creative journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and unleash creative brilliance in dynamic Art lessons across all key stages
- Encourage students to push the boundaries of their imagination with exciting, hands-on projects
- Provide personalized feedback to help students refine their craft and develop their artistic identity
- Innovate and inspire-introduce new techniques and modern mediums to fuel creative growth
- Create opportunities for students to showcase their talents through art exhibitions, competitions, and projects
- Collaborate with an energetic team of creatives to make the Arts Department the heart of the school
- Engage with students outside the classroom through art clubs, creative workshops, and school events
- Build a vibrant classroom culture where every student feels confident to express themselves through art
About You:
- A passionate artist and educator with a qualification in Art and relevant teaching experience (QTS or equivalent)
- Energetic and inspiring-you know how to captivate and motivate students to explore their creativity
- Experience teaching Art at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4)
- You're a creative problem-solver who knows how to make every lesson a work of art
- Skilled in a variety of artistic techniques, and eager to teach everything from painting to digital design
- A collaborative team player, ready to bring your own unique artistic flair to the department
- Enthusiastic about running extra-curricular art clubs, workshops, and projects
