Veritas Education partners with a wide range of nurseries and primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for both long-term and short-term roles, as well as permanent and daily supply positions. We collaborate with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
We are currently looking for strong Graduate Teaching Assistants for primary schools in the London boroughs of Hackney and Islington for roles beginning asap and September 2025. Roles are full time, long term, term-time only (8.30am-4pm).
Responsibilities for Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
- Support the development of students' academic skills (including literacy and numeracy) and personal development, fostering social and emotional growth.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare and organize teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.
About you:
- Educated to degree level in any subject area
- Have previous experience within a school, tutoring, or other child or education related experience.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
- Have knowledge and experience supporting children within special educational needs.
- School based experience preferred but not essential.
You may be considering a future career in education-perhaps as a teacher-or planning to take a year out before starting a Master's or PGCE (desirable but not essential).
