SEN Learning Support Assistants required West and South West London ASAP and September 2025 start£95-110 per day

Veritas Education works with a wide range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to support students with special educational needs and learning difficulties in schools across West and south west London. Roles are to start as soon as possible and September 2025. These are full-time roles, term-time only, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Ideal candidates will have experience supporting students in an educational environment, particularly those with SEN. A solid understanding of learning difficulties, whether gained through experience or academic studies, would also be beneficial.

Responsibilities of the SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs.
  • Work proactively to help students meet their academic goals.
  • Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
  • Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the teacher in general learning and student development.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • Reliability and a commitment to supporting students' progress.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and independently when required.
  • Relevant certifications and training in SEN are an advantage, as well as first-hand experience working with SEN students.
