Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Do you have a calm, nurturing approach and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils?
We are currently seeking dedicated SEND Classroom Assistants to join a range of primary schools across Leeds, supporting pupils from EYFS to KS2 with a variety of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
???? The Role:
Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement strategies
Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
Use de-escalation techniques when required
Foster engagement and build trust with pupils
???? Requirements:
Experience working with children or adults with SEND is highly desirable
A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and use positive behaviour management strategies
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
