The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll take charge of lessons in the absence of a teacher-keeping students engaged, learning, and on task. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment while delivering pre-set work across a variety of subjects.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead pre-prepared lessons with confidence and clarity.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Support students with any questions about the work set.
Keep lessons on track and maintain a calm, respectful atmosphere.
Report any issues to the relevant staff member.
Represent the school's ethos and values with professionalism.
What We're Looking For:
A passion for working with young people and making a difference.
Strong communication and classroom presence.
Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
Previous experience in a school is a bonus-but not essential.
Ideal for aspiring teachers, recent grads, or career changers.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
Valid photo ID.
Two references that cover the last 2 years.
Overseas police check (if applicable).
