About the Role

We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants with a strong focus on supporting students with ASD in vibrant and inclusive SEN schools in Merton, London. These schools are dedicated to creating a nurturing and structured environment where every child, especially those with ASD, can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

???? Provide specialist support to students with ASD, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis???? Implement structured strategies to assist with sensory processing, communication, and social interaction???? Use visual aids, PECS, and other ASD-specific techniques to enhance learning???? Assist teachers in delivering individualised and engaging lessons tailored to ASD students' needs???? Encourage students' independence, confidence, and emotional regulation???? Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective ASD support???? Promote a calm, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Who We're Looking For

✔️ Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for supporting children with ASD✔️ Experience working with ASD, SEN, or challenging behaviour (preferred but not essential)✔️ Understanding of ASD-friendly teaching techniques, sensory needs, and communication methods✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills✔️ Resilient, patient, and adaptable mindset✔️ Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Psychology degree, Autism training, Youth Work) - desirable but not required
