Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning journey? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant primary schools in Leeds. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in the classroom setting.
- Work with small groups of pupils, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist with interventions to help pupils who may need extra support.
- Provide phonics support (experience in phonics is preferred).
- Offer social and emotional support to pupils, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as needed.
- Assist the teacher with managing pupil behaviour effectively.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a school setting is essential.
- Experience in phonics is desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
