As a Behaviour Prevention Worker, you must have experience dealing with behaviour management techniques and excellent interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, SLD, PMLD or Behaviour Issues although this is not essential - we are always welcoming individuals from different backgrounds and training will be provided.
These positions require you to be experienced in supporting pupils and young adults with challenging behaviour. Depending on the role you could be working across a variety of different school settings on a full time/part time or day to day basis.
When supporting these pupils you are responsible for working alongside teachers and managers to make sure individual needs are met whilst up holding the schools code of conduct. These positions can be extremely rewarding and can be perfect for someone who is caring, patient and determined.

The requirements of the role:
- An enhanced DBS on the update Service (We can advise on this).
- Experience as a teacher or support assistant.
- At least two references from your most recent employers
- MUST be eligible to work in the UK
The ideal Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties teaching assistant will have:
- EBD teaching experience
- A good knowledge of the national curriculum
- The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils
- The ability to deal with challenging behaviour
