A highly respected all-boys school in the heart of Enfield are looking for a Teaching Assistant for a January start. The school prides itself on fostering academic excellence, personal development, and strong community values. They are now looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to make a positive impact on the education and well-being of their students.

Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both staff and students. You will be responsible for assisting with lesson preparation, supporting students both in and out of the classroom, and contributing to the overall development of each student's academic and personal growth. Your role will inmvolve supporting ypoung people aged 11-189 with Special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons across a variety of subjects.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with additional learning needs or those who need extra help.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources for lessons.
  • Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Support students during activities, breaks, and on school trips.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, either in a classroom setting or other educational environment, is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude.
  • A willingness to support students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • A good understanding of child development and learning.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures is essential.
