Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher Location: Rossendale Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time
About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspire students to engage with the subject, and support their academic development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about making Science accessible and exciting for all learners, while providing a strong foundation for future academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams, providing additional resources and guidance where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Science curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to student success.
