I am working with a dedicated school in Lewisham, London, looking for an SEN Teacher to lead a small class of students with varying needs. This role offers the flexibility of a long-term placement with a view to permanency or a direct permanent position, depending on your preference.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Be the class teacher for a small group of students with high special and complex needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across multiple subjects, tailored to meet individual needs.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure every child thrives.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate each child's unique requirements.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a resilient, adaptable, and knowledgeable professional with:
- QTS, QTLS, or PGCE (non-negotiable).
- Experience with Special, Complex or Social and Emotional Mental Health needs is desired.
- A strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them effectively.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Versatility to teach multiple subjects and tailor approaches to individual learning styles.
- A passion for helping children achieve their potential in a positive and supportive environment.
