Veritas Education are looking to experienced Team leader/Support Worker for an immediate full time/part time positions in Preston.
Due to an increase in demand, we are looking for confident Support Workers to work within our clients' residential homes, in Preston.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain immediate and flexible supply work in a number of excellent local homes and is a great way to increase your workload at a pace that suits you.
The home is a small residential service for children young adults with special educational needs. As a service that provides specialist support to people with learning disabilities and autism, we are looking for the right people to make a difference. The children require individual support in order to enhance and enjoy their lives and to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Professionalism, positive attitude, and patience.
- Confidence in the classroom and good behaviour management.
- Commitment to quality teaching.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Key skills & Experience:
- SEN experience (Autism ,Challenging behaviour , life skills , personal care)
- Strong behaviour management
- One to one and small group work
- Professional manor
- Enthusiasm and friendly approach
- Team Teach qualified
- Manual handling and hoists experience
- Personal Care
