We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive primary school in Colne. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to make a real difference in the lives of young learners in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
About the Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the development and academic achievement of our Year 2 pupils, guiding them through their Key Stage 1 curriculum and ensuring they are ready for the challenges of Key Stage 2. You will work within a collaborative and friendly team of educators who are committed to providing an enriching and engaging learning experience for all children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress
- Creating a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm for learning
- Supporting the emotional and social development of children
- Communicating regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on progress
- Working closely with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency in teaching and learning across the school
About You
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1)
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment procedures
- Is dedicated to providing high-quality education and ensuring every child reaches their full potential
- Is proactive, flexible, and a great team player
