About the Role:Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and supportive school in Pendle. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified HLTA to make a real difference in the education and development of students.
As an HLTA, you will support the teaching and learning across a variety of subjects, working closely with teachers and other staff members to deliver engaging lessons and provide additional support to students who may need extra help with their learning. You will also play an important role in managing small groups and supporting students' social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned lessons and interventions to individual students and small groups
- Supporting the classroom teacher with the planning and preparation of lessons
- Assisting in the assessment and monitoring of student progress
- Providing 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEN), as required
- Supporting the classroom environment to ensure it is a positive and inclusive space for all students
- Helping with behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies
- Contributing to the overall development of the school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in an educational setting
- A passion for supporting the learning and development of young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working with children, particularly in a school environment
- A patient, proactive, and positive attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the classroom
