Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a friendly school in Burnley. The role is focused on providing additional support to students with autism, visual impairments, and general SEN needs, with a specific focus on Year 2 and Year 4 pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with autism, visual impairments, and general SEN.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Support children in accessing the curriculum, promoting engagement and independence.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and adapt learning strategies.
- Help with behaviour management and provide emotional support when necessary.

- Monday: 08:45 - 15:30
- Tuesday to Friday: 09:30 - 12:30
- Contract Type: Part-Time

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism and visual impairments, is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of how to differentiate teaching and provide appropriate support.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is preferred, though not essential.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to helping all children succeed.
