About the Role:Veritas Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part timetable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and part timetable Teaching Assistant (TA) with after-school club responsibilities for a lovely school in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children in their educational journey and providing nurturing care in an after-school setting.
As part of the school team, you will play a key role in supporting students across various age groups in the classroom, while also assisting with planning and delivering interventions under the direction of the class teacher. Additionally, you will help manage and lead the school's after-school club, ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children during the extended hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to teachers and students in the classroom, working with individuals and small groups.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery of interventions to support the learning of all students.
- Supervise and engage with children during after-school club, creating a positive and safe environment.
- Encourage students to develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Help with the general running of the school and provide support for a variety of school activities.
- Be a positive role model for students, promoting their well-being and personal development.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA is desirable.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for working with children.
- Good understanding of the national curriculum and classroom practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in planning or supporting after-school activities is a plus.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
