You will work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your key duties will include:

  • Assisting with reading, writing, and schoolwork to help students meet their individual learning goals
  • Preparing learning materials and resources to engage and support pupils
  • Supporting students to build communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Helping students with physical tasks (e.g., personal care, mobility) where necessary
  • Providing pastoral support and helping students with emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Promoting a safe and positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable and encouraged to participate
  • What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in a school environment is essential
  • Experience supporting students with SEN or special needs is highly desirable, but not essential
  • A clear and enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students with SEND
  • Full-time availability (as part-time candidates will not be considered)
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for supporting vulnerable students
  • What We Offer:

  • Immediate start subject to registration
  • Competitive pay ranging from £85 to £110 per day, paid weekly
  • A full-time, long-term position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role for the right candidate
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal development of students with special needs
  • A supportive school environment focused on inclusion and student well-being
  • This is a rewarding role where you can have a direct and positive impact on the lives of students with SEND, helping them overcome challenges and reach their potential. If you are committed, compassionate, and have the relevant experience, we would love to hear from you!
